After School Program Policy Handbook  Revised September 2013

Welcome back to the 2018 – 2019 After School Program. Michele Roosje will be the Program Coordinator this year and can be reached on the ASP phone: (902) 532-8722. Texting is preferred! Before School Program will be from 7:05 to 8:05 and is overseen by Amanda White.

The program may be used on a drop-in basis, as long as we have a completed registration form before your child attends. A new registration form must be completed at the beginning of each new school year. Generally same day requests to attend the ASP can be arranged by texting the ASP cell phone before 2pm. Texting earlier in the day is better as space is limited. If you think you may be using the program at any time this year, please complete the registration form available from the school office, school website or from Michele. If you wish to use the program on a regular basis please make arrangements with Michele so that you do not need to text daily to book your space. If your child is scheduled to come to attend please text or call Michele if they will be absent. You also need to notify your child’s teacher of the days they are attending the After School Program.

Fees for the ASP will remain the same:
1 child - $7,
2 children - $12 and 3
children - $16.

The program will be available on early dismissal days the fees will be 1 child - $15, 2 children - $25 and 3 children - $36. Before School Care will be $2 per child. Regular attendance fees are payable in advance for a biweekly period. They may be paid by cash, cheque, or e-transfer. Fees for Drop-in attendance are payable when you pick up your child on the day they attend. All fees should be paid to the coordinator and cheques can be made payable to Family Matters.

Students must be picked up from the After School Program by 5:30pm Sharp or late fees will be applied.

Activities will be held in the ASP room, the LCS gym and outdoors on the school playground/fields. Please ensure that your child has clothing for outdoor activities as we will spend time outdoors daily if weather permits. All participants should bring a water bottle to use for drinks during the program. Healthy snacks will be provided.

We welcome your comments and questions. We also welcome and value any donations you may wish to make of craft materials and healthy snacks.

Thank you

Michele Roosje

Program Coordinator
